WECAN Angel Investment

The Windsor Essex Capital Angel Network (WECAN) is a network of investors who provide investment funding to startup and early stage businesses. WECAN Investors are typically high-net-worth individuals who invest personal funds at arm’s length in businesses owned and operated by unrelated individuals, a model known as “Angel Investing”. The personal funds are invested on a long-term basis in exchange for repayable or convertible debt or equity in the company. To participate, these individuals must be recognized by the Ontario Securities Commission as an “accredited investor”, as defined by the Ontario Securities Commission’s Rule 45-802.

Starter Company Plus is an Ontario government program facilitated by local Small Business Enterprise Centres to provide entrepreneurs with the resources and knowledge they need to start, purchase or grow their own business.

EPIC Founders Program

The RBC EPIC Founders Program is an intensive 12-week startup accelerator program for students and recent graduates who want to turn their ideas into businesses. Participants accepted into this program will receive a stipend of up to $6,000 per person that can be used as seed funding for the business
